On Thursday 8^th June, the Norwich School U15A Girls cricket team participated in the Norfolk County Rise & Shine tournament, hosted at Redmayne playing fields. 

The tournament consisted of 11 teams from around Norfolk; a significant increase in participating school since the tournaments launch 3 years ago, reinforcing the emergence of girls cricket as a prominent summer sport.

The girls were drawn against Norwich High and Langley School in their group with the top placed school advancing to the semi-finals.  The girls played very well, showing their depth in bowling and batting along with some much-improved fielding to win both matches.

A comfortable win in the semi-final saw Norwich School play Broadland High in the final (who by making the final will represent Norfolk in the National finals later in the year). Norwich School played very well and were eventual winners.
