On Thursday 28th June, six Upper 5 pupils spent a day volunteering at the Nancy Oldfield trust.
The trust offers the opportunity for less fortunate individuals, who have physical and mental disabilities, to learn to sail or spend time on the river.
A morning spent doing some manual labour and making a new area for the trust to park their boat trailers, was rewarded with a sunny canoe on the river to the pontoon; before being taught to sail in the afternoon. The beautiful sunshine made for a fabulous day to be on the river.
Miss Figgitt said "All six pupils were a credit to the school and worked exceptionally hard."
