22 November 2018

The world’s best-selling cricket magazine, The Cricketer, has published its Good Schools Guide 2019, featuring the top 100 secondary schools. Norwich School is delighted to have been included in the 'Top 100 Senior Schools' selection. All entries were judged against an extensive set of criteria, with all the chosen schools having outstanding facilities, fixture programmes and coaching.

The Cricketer magazine editor Simon Hughes commented: “This is a superb publication that serves both as an informative guide and as a tribute to all those teachers and coaches out there who are nurturing the talents of future club, county and international cricketers. I have been lucky enough to visit a number of school matches this summer, and am pleased to note that the standard of cricket, coaching facilities and enthusiasm for the game has been as high as I can recall.

Cricket at Norwich School has gone from strength to strength. Girls cricket has continued to thrive at Norwich School in the 2018 season. More and more girls are participating each year, allowing the school to significantly increase the number of teams and fixtures throughout the season. Boys cricket has had another brilliant year. The school have had more fixtures than ever before, and more boys are representing the school in all age groups.

Jed Cawkwell, Head of Cricket at Norwich School, said: "We are thrilled to be included in The Cricketers list of Top 100 Cricket schools again this year. It is due recognition for all the hard work and dedication that all our cricketers show every year, and they should be immensely proud of all their successes to date."
