Norwich School Cross Country Club run at the East Anglian League

27 February 2018

On Saturday 24th February 29 members of the Norwich School Cross Country Club went to Gresham's for the second East Anglian League fixture of the season. The conditions were good for running - cold and still - and our runners competed very strongly.

In the Junior Boys race Freddie Mitchell came 1st and Max Blaxell 3rd. The Girls team came second to RHS with good runs from Kitty Taylor in 3rd and Emily Cahir in 4th.

Our most successful team were the Intermediate Boys, where we had the top 3 finishers and six of the top eight. Angus Toms took the race with James Price and Patrick Thomas close behind in 2nd and 3rd. Benji Fischer, James Thistlewood and Will Blythe-Bartram all had impressive runs also finishing 6th, 7th and 8th respectively.

In the Senior Boys race, George Clements kept up his winning streak, finishing a minute ahead of his nearest competitor. The team managed to see off the challenge from RHS thanks to runs from Steven Denby in 3rd place, Louis Cann in 6th and Walter Buttery in 7th.
