Norwich School Choral Society 2019 Concert

Norwich School Choral Society and the internationally renowned chamber orchestra London Mozart Players (LMP) in their third year of partnership and will performing together in a concert at St. Andrew's Hall on Sunday 3rd March, 7.30pm. Tickets are £12 for adults and free to U21s.

This year they will perform Mozart’s iconic Requiem, alongside English folk song settings in John Rutter’s The Sprig of Thyme and a new orchestral version of Brahms’ exquisite Geistlicheslied by the choir’s conductor Richard Allain.

Chosen pupils from schools across Norfolk (Wymondham College, Notre Dame, Norwich High School, CNS and Jane Austen) will take part in the concert. Norwich School pupil, Adam Possener, will be the viola soloist for Bruch’s haunting Kol Nidrei. Yesterday, Musicians from the LMP led an orchestral workshop for those taking part in the performance.

The Choral Society is always keen to welcome new singers. Weekly rehearsals take place on Wednesday evenings 5.45-7pm between September and March each year. Those interested in joining a friendly, enthusiastic and hard-working choir should contact music@norwich-school.org.uk
