Norwich School Chapel Organ to Feature in a Sponsored Organ Crawl

14 August 2019

The Norwich School Chapel organ will feature in a sponsored "Organ Crawl", which is raising money for charity.

Nicholas Groves, who is an organist at the Octagon Chapel, is undertaking a mission to play 20 Norwich organs in one day. Starting at 8.45am, Nicholas' route will take bim from the Octagon Unitarian Chapel to several churches around the city, including St George on Tombland, the Cathedral, St Peter Mancroft and St Gregory on Pottergate. He will also play the Norwich School Chapel organ, which has recently been restored to full working order following funding from donors.

The event aims to raise money for the Martineau Hall Redevelopment Fund, which will be used to refurbish the Octagon Chapel's Martineau Hall for use as a meeting venue for a number of local organisations and groups.

The "Organ Crawl" takes place on 30th August, more information about the event can be found here.
