Norfolk Schools Cross Country Championships Report

26 January 2022

Well done to all those who were selected to compete at the Norfolk Cross-Country Championships on a very cold day at Langley School on Wednesday 26 January.

Hannah Conway (L4) was 22nd in the U13 Girls race, and in the U13 Boys race Miles Alston (L4) was 13th and Rufus Snelling (L4) 36th.

In the U15 Girls, Minnie Andrews (U4) came 13th, Amelie Ivie (U4) 14th and Jess Bandy (U4) 18th, and in the U15 Boys Nick Conway (L5) was 17th and Finn Kaiser (U4) 32nd.

Among the older pupils, we had four who qualified to represent Norfolk at the East of England Championships. Bea Wells (M5) ran very strongly to finish 4th in the U17 Girls and Daniel Conway (U5) matched her, coming 4th in the U17 Boys. Alice Shaw (U6) was placed 11th in the U19 Girls, and Gyr Balmer (L6) was 12th in the U19 Boys, with Bruce Yang (L6) just outside the qualifying places in 15th.

Well done to all the athletes and good luck representing Norfolk on 5 February at Woodbridge!
