Nelson House Climb Mt Everest ...kind of!

08 May 2018

On Friday 4th May Nelson House climbed Mount Everest ...on a climbing wall.

Norwich School pupils, who are part of Nelson House climbed the 3348 metres, which is measured from the Base Camp to the Summit, on a mobile climbing wall.

Each pupil contributed towards the challenge, with pupils being sponsored for the climb. All money raised went towards Nelson House's chosen charity for this academic year, Nelson's Journey. Nelson's Journey is a Norfolk charity supporting children and young people (up to 18yrs), living in the county, who have experienced the death of a significant person.

Nelson House climbed the wall over 850 times, with a total assent of more than 7,500 metres.

Well done to all who scaled the heights - staff included! The current amount raised is £1369
