Norwich School was recently commissioned by Norfolk charity Friend In Deed to create a theme song for the charity to use across their activities.

Friend In Deed aims to create friendships across generations, helping to combat loneliness in older generations – an aim which is more important than ever in these unusual times.

Norwich School has been partnering with Friend In Deed since 2017, and our pupils have had the chance to get involved with a range of wonderful projects, such as creative performance at care homes, intergenerational quizzes and intergenerational sports days.

This latest collaboration was undertaken by two Norwich School Music Scholars, Amy Griffiths (U5) and Abi Flatt (L6).  They took part in a songwriting workshop, gathering inspiration from a list of buzz words supplied by Kelly, the founder of the charity.

They have produced an original song which they performed and recorded last week. The song can now be used for Friend In Deed’s videos and activities.
