Bronze D of E Expedition Trip Report, as told by Mr Gregor Macgregor:

The Bronze expedition set off over the weekend with the promise of fine weather. This would make up for their practice, when the rain hardly stopped!

77 participants in 12 groups set off: 2 to Tacolneston, 2 to Shipdham and 8 to North Walsham. They walked in lovely weather to their respective campsites, following the routes they had pre-planned. Along the way they also took time to study their aims, which ranged from a study of the wild flowers on the route to devising a form of sign communications.

The warmth remained overnight and they set off all 'refreshed' to walk to the end points. Once there, they gave a presentation to their assessor about their subject. All participants passed their expedition.

A very big thank you to all staff who helped organise and supervise the expedition. DofE expeditions just would not happen without the support and time of people giving up their spare time to help.
