Saturday saw the concluding rounds of our intra-school rugby competitions. All L4-U5 rugby players were placed into teams in some of the rugby world’s biggest tournaments.
In the U12 Home Nations Championship, it was England who came out on top with help from some bonus points earned for their sportsmanship and pre-match chant. The U13s adopted teams from the Southern Hemispheres Rugby Championship and it was Argentina who prevailed, overtaking South Africa on the final game. For the U14s it was a Four Nations event in which Scotland swept the board with a clean sweep of six victories. The U15 competition had a distinctly New Zealand feel, with four club sides from the Super Rugby competition selected, it was the Highlanders who came out victorious. Finally the U16s which saw a dominant New Zealand side pip both England and South Africa to the title.
