On Sunday 19th May, Intermediate Concert Band were invited to play at the Bishop's Garden Open Event in aid of Save the Children.

Despite occasional spots of rain, the band were determined not to have their spirits dampened as they set up under the conveniently placed ruins of Bishop Salmond's Porch. The band entertained parents and members of the public alike with two sets, including music from Mission: Impossible, Pirates of the Caribbean and Coldplay.

In between the sets, pupils were rewarded for their efforts with a fantastic cream tea, which guaranteed a hugely enjoyable afternoon for all involved. The band are extremely grateful to Save the Children for their kind invitation, as it provided the players with valuable performing experience ahead of the upcoming Junior and Intermediate Concert.
