On Saturday 16th March, Friends of Norwich School held their annual fundraiser 'Jazz Night' at Epic Studios, Norwich. The event was sponsored by Norwich Accountancy Services Ltd. 

The Norwich School community was brought together for a night of incredible music, delicious food and dancing. Guests were entertained by Norwich School pupils and staff, arranged by Richard Allain, Director of Music at Norwich School. Aspect Film, the school Film Club, were live filming the event which provided guests with close-ups of the performers as well as great production experience for pupils. 

Performances throughout the evening included an Unplugged Session; Barbershop; Saxology and Quartz; Jazz with Finn McEwen ON (12-14); Big Band Jazz featuring the music of Basie, Sinatra, Buble and Weather Report; and a Senior Jazz Band Pop Set, featuring the music of Winehouse, Sigrid, Randy Crawford and Elvis. 

"A toe-tapping, ear-tingling five hours worth of musical brilliance!" enthused one happy guest. 

Friends of Norwich School (FONS) has a community of volunteers who raise funds to support Norwich School in enriching the pupil experience, whilst also providing bursary funds for the school. A few examples of support FONS have given the school are: Sports equipment, Lego Club, Cheerleading Facilities, Pre-Prep adventure playground, Science Club, Orienteering Club, Rowing Club, The Writing Festival, Film Club, Sailing Shelter, Radio Club training and equipment, Gardening Club, Fencing Club, Duke of Edinburgh Equipment and a Risograph printer.
