First Making Musician Concert of 2020

The first Making Musician concert of 2020 took place on Thursday 16th January in the South Transept of Norwich Cathedral. Making Musicians is a developmental arts enrichment programme for exceptional musical talent.

Performing at the concert was Reuben Selby (Saxophone) who is a Year 13 student from CNS (City of Norwich School). Reuben played all 5 movements from Tableaux de Provence by Maurice.

Second to perform was Norwich School pupil, Emily Bloom (Soprano), who is in the Upper Sixth year. Emily performed Imagine by Lennon, Yoko Ono; Hallejuah by Cohen; Moments in the Woods by Sondheim; Yours by Ella Henderson, Josh Record and Your Song by Elton John. 

Both Reuben and Emily were accompanied by Accompanist David Dunnett. 

Based at Norwich School, Making Musicians is for singers and instrumentalists both from within the school and the wider community. Musicians participate in an annual series of workshops, lectures, visits, masterclasses and recitals designed specifically to nurture young performers and compers.
