Easter 2017 Fifth Form Paris Exchange

18 April 2017

In March, 22 L5 and M5 pupils travelled to Paris on the return leg of this year’s French Exchange.

The group spent a wonderful sunny week in the city, visiting the Louvre, the creepy catacombs, and the Arc de Triomphe, as well as taking part in a photo scavenger hunt around Montmartre, enjoying a boat cruise along the Seine, and catching a glimpse of rehearsals in the famous Opéra Garnier.

Staying with their Exchange partners meant that pupils were fully immersed in Parisian culture, and had the chance to put their language skills to the test – they were welcomed warmly, and everyone certainly felt that their French had improved by the end of the week. Highlights of pupils’ weekends ‘en famille’ included trips to Disneyland, ascents of the Eiffel Tower by night, cycling tours of Paris, and lots of delicious food!

The group were a pleasure to be around, and Mrs Watkinson, Dr Boutemy and Mrs Wyndham were impressed with the enthusiasm, good humour and positive attitudes of all pupils involved.
