Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Training Expedition

10 May 2019

80 Norwich School Lower 5 DofE participants undertook their training expedition over the may bank holiday weekend.

Due to changes in the DofE's requirements, this was a new way of delivering the expedition. The participants were all taken to the campsite on the Sunday, where they spent the day receiving training on various skills they would need for their camping and travelling. They then cooked their meals and settled in for a peaceful night under canvas.

In the morning, they were all up for 5:30 am to cook breakfast, clean equipment and pack up their tents and rucksacks. All groups left the campsite by 7:30. They made good progress on their walk and arrived at the end on their timings.

Well done to all for their keenness and enthusiasm - it made for a great expedition for all.

Many thanks also to those staff who gave up their bank holiday weekend to make the expedition possible.
