05 March 2018

On Thursday 22nd February Dr Kirby, Head of Mathematics at Norwich School, gave a training course at a development evening on the uses of GeoGebra in Maths Education in schools.

'GeoGebra is dynamic mathematics software for all levels of education that brings together geometry, algebra, spreadsheets, graphing, statistics and calculus in one easy-to-use package' says the GeoGebra website.

Dr Kirby spoke about how to use GeoGebra and how to develop resources in GeoGebra to school ranging from Attleborough Academy, Sheringham, Fakenham, Dereham, Gresham’s, Thorpe St Andrew and more. This is part of a new initiative in trying to give a forum for Norfolk Maths Teachers to discuss T+L and developing resources for the new A Level exams. This is supported by FMSP (Further Mathematics Support Programme).
