Co-Curricular Activities Shine Alongside Some Fantastic Individual Achievements on GCSE Results Day

22 August 2019

Angus Murphy-Lennox

Angus is celebrating after collecting 8 Grade 8/9A* and 2 Grade 7/A GCSEs, a result he is incredibly of.

"To get mostly 8s with a sprinkle of 9s is amazing, and I’m incredibly proud. I believed I might have done less well in some of my subjects after my exams, so this is a huge relief. I’m hoping to continue studying music, chemistry and maths at A level. My teachers Mr Kettley, Mr Joel and Mr Murray deserve a particular mention from me, and I feel I owe them my results."

Angus is a keen musician and has represented the school in the County Music Festival playing the piano.

Kitty Taylor

Kitty achieved 5 Grade 8/9/A*, 4 Grade 7/A and 1 Grade 6/B GCSE's this year, and will be entering the Sixth Form following a successful sweep of results.

Alongside her studies, Kitty also took a very proactive role in raising money to fund a trip to Madagascar last summer with the school, undertaking ecological research in the dry forest and coastal reefs. In April of 2018 she embarked on a 50-mile litter pick walk along the North Norfolk coast, continuing her passion for protecting our planet.

Marianne Smith

Marianne gained an outstanding 9 Grade 8/9/A* and 1 Grade 7/A GCSEs, alongside being heavily involved with the 8th Norwich Sea Scouts, which is based at the school.

"I'm over the moon and completely surprised - I wasn't expecting those results at all! I now feel I can go into Sixth Form with the confidence to continue my studies at A Levels."

The school is incredibly proud of this year's cohort, and we wish them the best of luck as they continue their studies in the coming weeks.
