On Wednesday 11th October, selected members of the Chapel Choir travelled to London to sing at the Annual Dyer’s Service. Having departed from Tombland at 5:15am, the group arrived in time for a much needed restorative cooked breakfast in central London. A rehearsal followed at St James Garlickhythe Church in the Square Mile.
The service itself was a great success, the choir doing great justice to music by Tallis, Rutter and Vaughan Williams. Time was taken afterwards for photos and congratulations, followed by a fantastic lunch in the grandeur of the lavish Dyer’s Livery Hall. After much revelry, the choir embarked on the journey back to Norwich after a fantastic day of music.
