Authors promote love of books to Norfolk children

11 March 2020

Three prominent authors and illustrators spoke to children across Norfolk as part of Norfolk Children’s Book Day held at Norwich School yesterday.

Over 100 pupils from CNS, Dereham Neatherd High School, Broadland High Ormiston Academy, Open Academy, Ormiston Victory Academy, Hobart, Framlingham Earl High and Sheringham High School participated in the event

The aim of these Book Days is to promote literacy and a love of books, and to encourage young people in Norfolk to read good quality literature.

Alexander Gordon Smith, Pam Smy and Sufiya Ahmed all shared their experiences and talked about what inspired their writing. In doing so, they sought to encourage and enthuse young readers to broaden their literary horizons.
