Norwich School pupils are celebrating another impressive set of A Level results, with almost a quarter of all grades at A* and 3/5 at A*- A. Many pupils have been successful in securing places on the most competitive courses at prestigious universities and the school is delighted by the variety of their chosen paths: from Engineering, Fashion, Law, Veterinary Science and Sports Science, to English, Product Design, Medicine and Textiles.
Head Master, Steffan Griffiths, commented “It is the eleventh consecutive year that our pupils have produced A*-A and A*-B grades in excess of 60% and 85% respectively. At a time of national educational turbulence, the consistency of Norwich School’s academic excellence is pleasing, particularly when set in the context of our ambitious co-curricular programme. The success of our pupils in obtaining top grades alongside sporting, artistic and philanthropic activities is testament to their determination and the rounded educational opportunities available at Norwich School.”
In addition to the strong collective performance, there have been outstanding individual achievements: five candidates secured four A* grades; 14 pupils received at least 3 A*s; and 58 pupils got at least 3 As.
Craig Hooper, Head of 6th Form, said “These results are the culmination of years of hard work and dedication from the pupils, aided by support from their families and enabled by the expert tuition of their teachers. The school’s strong pastoral care is also an important factor in today’s successes and we are delighted that so many of our pupils are now leaving in a healthy position to continuetheir journeys away from Cathedral Close.”
