This year saw excellent participation from both Lower and Upper Sixth Chemists in the Royal Society of Chemistry's annual Olympiad competition, with our highest ever total of 29 pupils receiving awards.

On Saturday 12 April, J15 and J16 rowers represented the Eastern Region at the Junior Inter Regional Regatta at the National Watersports Centre, Holme Pierrepoint, Nottingham. Additionally, on Sunday 21 April, it was Daniel Conway’s turn to race at Holme Pierrpont at the GB Spring Trials Regatta.

U4 Pupil, Zach Lloyd, and parents are running the Sierra Leone Half Marathon on 5 May 2024 to fundraise for Street Child. Zach tells us a little about the event and what we can do to support him.

The Crypt Gallery looks forward to welcoming upcoming exhibition, Double Take which coincides with Norfolk and Norwich Festival. The exhibition consists of recent work by three artists with strong bonds to East Anglia: sculptor, James Evans, painter, Susan Gunn and painter, printmaker and photographer, Tassie Russell.

A team of L5 and M5 have been constructing a Greenpower Electric Car and have made significant progress over the last few months.

The Cross Country Club have had a successful and enjoyable term of running. In the City Schools’ and Norfolk Schools’ events, U3 pupils Samuel and Emi shone, showing that the future is bright for running at Norwich School.

On Monday 25 and Tuesday 26 March over 80 students took to the stage at Epic Studios for the Senior Dance Festival 2024. The show featured pieces from curriculum and co-curriculum groups, student choreography, guest choreographers and company repertoire.

On Tuesday 26 March we saw the annual Norwich School Cup Run where the whole of Norwich School travelled to Mousehold Heath to compete in their cross country races.

This year, 11 boys and girls from Lower and Middle 5 led by Mrs Parkhouse and accompanied by Mr Croston embarked on a long journey by minibus, ferry and train to visit Norwich’s French twin – Rouen.

The girls 1st XI enjoyed an unbeaten season, winning all four of their fixtures.

Boys hockey had a busy second half term with block fixtures playing against local rivals to playing regionals and national tournaments.

The Netball Club was straight back into action following the half-term break, attending the County Cup with the U12As and dominating the day from the pool games, all the way to the final, winning 15-5 v Gresham’s. Buoyed by their new title as County Champions, they finished their season unbeaten with 17 wins out of 17.

The Lent Term is a very busy period for rugby 7s, competing in several festivals with all eyes on Rosslyn Park and the end of term.

March 21 this year was one of the greatest school days ever. It was an amazing once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit the infinite sunny hillsides, snake-like winding streets and stunning monuments of Madrid.
