A team of L5 and M5 have been constructing a Greenpower Electric Car and have made significant progress over the last few months.

The Cross Country Club have had a successful and enjoyable term of running. In the City Schools’ and Norfolk Schools’ events, U3 pupils Samuel and Emi shone, showing that the future is bright for running at Norwich School.

On Monday 25 and Tuesday 26 March over 80 students took to the stage at Epic Studios for the Senior Dance Festival 2024. The show featured pieces from curriculum and co-curriculum groups, student choreography, guest choreographers and company repertoire.

On Tuesday 26 March we saw the annual Norwich School Cup Run where the whole of Norwich School travelled to Mousehold Heath to compete in their cross country races.

This year, 11 boys and girls from Lower and Middle 5 led by Mrs Parkhouse and accompanied by Mr Croston embarked on a long journey by minibus, ferry and train to visit Norwich’s French twin – Rouen.

The girls 1st XI enjoyed an unbeaten season, winning all four of their fixtures.

1st XI finished and completed their Tier 1 season against Ipswich School and Epsom College early in February.

Boys hockey had a busy second half term with block fixtures playing against local rivals to playing regionals and national tournaments.

The Netball Club was straight back into action following the half-term break, attending the County Cup with the U12As and dominating the day from the pool games, all the way to the final, winning 15-5 v Gresham’s. Buoyed by their new title as County Champions, they finished their season unbeaten with 17 wins out of 17.

The Lent Term is a very busy period for rugby 7s, competing in several festivals with all eyes on Rosslyn Park and the end of term.

On Wednesday 20 March, we saw the boat club travel down to the tideway for the culmination of the head race season: The Schools' Head of the River Race.

On Monday 18 March 2024 a group of 31 A-Level Physics pupils visited Sizewell B Power Station.  After a safety briefing by site staff and a presentation on the physics and engineering involved in the generation of electricity from nuclear fission, pupils were given a comprehensive tour of the site.

On Saturday, Georgia Hodgson and Summer Nesbitt from Lower 6 travelled to Cambridge to represent Norwich School at the Finals of the Cambridge Schools Debating Competition 2024.

There is no doubt that Jazz Night is one of the finest nights in the school’s musical calendar and this year was no exception.

On Thursday 14 March, Music Scholars and Exhibitioners were treated to a masterclass given by Amos Miller, Head of Brass at the Royal College of Music. In the middle of the day, we were treated to a wonderful Making Musicians in the School Chapel.

On Thursday 14 March, all L4 pupils headed north to the great medieval sites of Binham Priory and Castle Rising. The groups were blessed with glorious sunshine, and the pupils thoroughly enjoyed learning about the history of each location.

On 12 March 2024, a packed Blake Studio enjoyed a fascinating evening learning more about the mysterious Caucasus isthmus.
