The Norwich School 1st XI girls hockey team won silver in the Tier 2 National finals earlier this month. Read on to hear a report by Mr Sorrell, Head of Hockey at Norwich School.

The Norwich School Dance Show took place at Epic Studios, 21st and 22nd March 2019. 

The level of commitment, talent and creativity of all pupils involved was impressive. With only a few weeks of rehearsal time, all pupils committed to the process and approached rehearsals with enthusiasm and drive. Many of the pieces from the evening were choreographed and organised by the pupils themselves.

The final race in the Cross Country East Anglian League took place on Saturday 23rd March, where Norwich School pupils excelled in all races and won every individual and team competition. Read on to hear a report on the day from Mr Hudson.

A Primary Debating Outreach project, which has been devised by Norwich School and the Diocese of Norwich Education and Academies Trust (DNEAT), reached its conclusion last week in a finale at Norwich School.

The week of National Schools Finals finally dawned for the U19 squad. During the week the girls had fully committed to their last-minute preparations in the form of training and gym sessions and a training match against a very strong UEA 1st VII.

On Saturday 16th March, Friends of Norwich School held their annual fundraiser 'Jazz Night' at Epic Studios, Norwich, where the Norwich School community was brought together for a night of incredible music, delicious food and dancing.

Norwich School pupil, Laura-Rose Cooke, competed in the Senior Women’s Artistic Gymnastics British Championships in Liverpool over the weekend alongside Gb and Olympic gymnasts.

The school is excited to announce that we have today submitted an application for full planning permission and an accompanying Listed Building Consent application to Norwich City Council. This is for new dining and teaching facilities, together with beneficial outdoor spaces and improved access, located on the existing refectory site and the adjacent Bishop’s Palace Lawn. The site is situated on the school site in the corner of the Cathedral’s Upper Close, adjacent to Palace Street.

Two Norwich School pupils have been shortlisted for the Norfolk Youth Awards 2019, organised by city centre youth charity, OPEN Youth Trust (OPEN). These awards highlight young people’s astonishing achievements and to give them the recognition and encouragement they deserve. This is the second year that OPEN has organised these awards.

The private view of the school’s latest Crypt gallery exhibition titled “Response” takes place tonight mark its official opening.

On Wednesday 13th February, 14 pupils from L6 and U6 who study A-level Spanish, travelled to Málaga, in the heart of Andalucía, to experience true Spanish culture and improve their language skills. Upon arrival, we were met by our host families at the language school.

On Saturday 3rd March, Norwich School Choral society performed with the London Mozart Players (the UK's first chamber orchestra) in a memorable concert at St. Andrew's Hall. Several Norwich School pupils were given the unique opportunity to take part, and for the first time, advanced instrumentalists and singers from other local schools were also invited to play and sing in the event.

On Sunday 3rd March, Norwich School Senior Boys Cross Country Team travelled to Harrow School for the South-East Schools Cross Country Championships.
