On 16th April, GB Olympic Gold medallist, Kate Richardson-Walsh (OBE), visited Norwich School. Kate captained the history-making women's hockey team at Rio 2016, which collected the first ever GB Olympic gold medal for women’s hockey.

During the Easter break and in the midst of GCSE revision,  Monica Raviraj (U5V) competed in the East Anglia Open 2018 Regional Tennis Tournament. Monica competed in two categories this year, the Women's Singles and the Women's Doubles Championship.

Fourteen Norwich School pupils, and one ON, performed at St Peter's Church in Sheringham as part of the Norfolk County Youth Orchestra on the 13th April 2018. The concert was a culmination of of a residential week of music with the NCYO.

'Dozens of computer mad youngsters have given up some of their school holidays to be mentored by local tech professionals' said Matthew Gudgin, of Radio Norfolk, 'the atmosphere is buzzing' he continued to say.

For the 4th  successive year, Emily White (L5N) has been cast from 1000s of auditionees across the country to perform with Youth Music Theatre UK. She will be taking part in a brand new musical, Help! Get me out of this musical, which will premiere at the Wilde Theatre, Berkshire, in August.

The Chemistry Olympiad is the leading chemistry competition for students in secondary education across the UK.

This April, Norwich’s first Techathon sees young people aged 8 to 18 taking on technology challenges set by corporate giants. The two-day event, held at Norwich School on April 12 to 13, is open to anyone, from beginners to tech wizards.

On Sunday 11th March, Norfolk took on Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire for a place in the final. The team was made up of 57 people, ranging in age from 11 to 85, and included 14 pupils, parents and staff from Norwich School. The match took place at Shouldham Warren, near Swaffham, and was spread over 9 courses for different ages.

Fifteen Norwich School pupils in L5 and M5 helped out with the Food and Farming Discovery Trust inaugural event 'The Science of Farming', which took place at the Norfolk Showground on the 13th March.

For the past rugby season Norwich School pupil Freddie Steward has been a member of the Leicester Tigers Academy.

The Norwich School Boat Club attended two National events on Monday 12th and Tuesday 13th. The Schools Head of the River on the Tideway, in London, on Monday and the Scullery Head held on the Olympic Rowing lake at Dorney on Tuesday. The performance of Tuesday was the J14 A Octopule team who won their event by 10 seconds! This is a first for the school.
