Norwich School pupil Bethan Callow has gained a place with Aldeburgh Young Musicians for the 2018/19 academic year. Aldeburgh Young Musicians (AYM) is a junior conservatoire that holds weekend and holiday residential's that involve creative music workshops for young people aged 8-18. AYM was created to provide advanced musical training to young people.

Norwich School pupils excelled at the Norwich City Sports 2018.

On Thursday 8th June, the Norwich School U15A Girls cricket team participated in the Norfolk County Rise & Shine tournament, hosted at Redmayne playing fields. 

The tournament consisted of 11 teams from around Norfolk; a significant increase in participating school since the tournaments launch 3 years ago, reinforcing the emergence of girls cricket as a prominent summer sport.

The Norwich School Boys U17s cricket team reached the last eight in the Country after beating Brentwood School on the 25th May. The Boys U17s won the encounter by 13 runs, with pupil Harry Williams being the outstanding player throughout the match. The team have a great chance in the next round on Wednesday 13th June, where they are travelling to Whitgift to play for a place in one of the top four schools Nationally.

The 1st XI Norwich School cricket team beat Trent College in a brilliant game of cricket on Friday 8th June and are now up against Bedford in the next round of the National T20.

Twelve Norwich School Fine Art pupils, in the 5th form, had the chance to visit Cornwall over the May half term holiday, accompanied by Miss Williams and Miss Slade.

On Thursday 23rd May, the Cathedral Choirs of Norwich, Ely and Peterborough came together for a special concert in this year’s Norfolk and Norwich Festival. It is the first time in more than two decades that the three choirs have joined together.

The Olympic Rowing Lake at Eton, Dorney, lay host to the National Schools Regatta where schools and clubs from across Great Britain compete in the largest 3 day sports event for pupils aged 13-18. Norwich School entered crews from each year group; well done to the A final medallists from the J14 Octopule (Silver) and the Sch 4+ (Gold).

On the 21st May Norwich School pupils Art and Design pupils visited Nathan Coley's instalment titled Palace 2015, which is being shown at St Laurence’s church on St Benedict’s Street, Norwich. Pupils also took part in a workshop that worked with the themes of Nathan Coley's work. Nathan Coley is a Glasgow based artist, who's work examines the nature of belief in our society through a range of media.

Booking is now live for Gather 18 via the school's ticketsource page. Gather 18 is the school's end-of-year creative arts festival which sees a packed series of music, drama, dance and exhibitions taking place during the last three weeks of the school year.

Congratulations to the Norwich School chemistry team who took part in the Salters' Institute Festival of Chemistry, on Thursday 24th May.

The team were awarded first prize in the Salters' Challenge.

The three cathedral choirs from Norwich, Ely and Peterborough will be giving their first joint concert for more than 25 years in Norwich Cathedral as part of this year’s Norfolk & Norwich Festival on Thursday (24 May).

On May 12th Friends of Norwich School hosted their biggest fundraiser of the year, the May Ball. The Ball took place at the Norwich Castle Keep.

This year’s Norfolk Summer School is approaching fast. Over 120 Year 12 pupils from Norfolk schools and Sixth Forms will be joining us this year for the programme which offers advice and support to students who are aiming for some of the UK’s most competitive university places.

Norwich School pupils took part in the Race for Life Pretty Muddy 2018 on Saturday 12th May. Some pupils cartwheeled across the finish line ...and were in the top 10 finishers!

On Sunday 13th May two members of the Norwich School J14 girls rowing team travelled to Dorney Lake, to race at the Ball Cup (South). The day began with some tough racing in 1x and ended with success in the 2x.
