The Conference model diplomacy society is now in its third year at Norwich School.  This year saw the society attend their first overseas Model United Nations in Spain. The society also hosted their most successful Model Arctic Council yet, and enjoy a third time back to one of the biggest Model UN's in the UK.

On 29th April, 18 pupils from Norwich Lower and Senior School competed in the East Regional Ski Association School Championships.

Competition was tough, but one of the two winning teams on the day was Norwich School’s Varioco.  Their business was chosen to represent the county at the East of England finals in June.

Members of the Norwich School community completed the London Marathon 2018 on Sunday 22nd April. The marathon was the 38th of its kind and an estimated 40,000 runners were expected on the start line. It was officially recorded as the hottest London Marathon to date, with peak temperatures of 24.1°C.

Norwich School pupil Kitty Taylor (M5C) walked 50 miles over a three day period, in the Easter break. The walk took her along the North Norfolk coastal path and she picked up litter as she went.

Norwich School pupils Charlotte Pollard (M5P) and Louis Davis (M5D) recently help secure the U16 Norfolk Badminton Team a place in the national playoffs. This is the first time the team have reached this level of play. The playoffs will be held at the end of April in Leicester.

Norwich School pupil Charlie O'Shea took a wildcard entry into a 3 star competition in Verbier on the Junior Freeride World Tour over the Easter break.

On 16th April, GB Olympic Gold medallist, Kate Richardson-Walsh (OBE), visited Norwich School. Kate captained the history-making women's hockey team at Rio 2016, which collected the first ever GB Olympic gold medal for women’s hockey.

During the Easter break and in the midst of GCSE revision,  Monica Raviraj (U5V) competed in the East Anglia Open 2018 Regional Tennis Tournament. Monica competed in two categories this year, the Women's Singles and the Women's Doubles Championship.

Fourteen Norwich School pupils, and one ON, performed at St Peter's Church in Sheringham as part of the Norfolk County Youth Orchestra on the 13th April 2018. The concert was a culmination of of a residential week of music with the NCYO.

'Dozens of computer mad youngsters have given up some of their school holidays to be mentored by local tech professionals' said Matthew Gudgin, of Radio Norfolk, 'the atmosphere is buzzing' he continued to say.

For the 4th  successive year, Emily White (L5N) has been cast from 1000s of auditionees across the country to perform with Youth Music Theatre UK. She will be taking part in a brand new musical, Help! Get me out of this musical, which will premiere at the Wilde Theatre, Berkshire, in August.
