Sixth Form pupils win first senior British Mathematical Olympiad medals for the school.

Laura-Rose Cooke competed in the Senior Competition which is 16 years and above against a strong field, including several GB Olympic Gymnasts.

Nine pupils took part in the Biology Olympiad at the start of this term securing five gold, two silver and two highly commended awards.

The Norwich School Young Chamber are to host a business networking breakfast on Friday 21^st April, 8.15 – 10.30am in the Weston Room of the Cathedral Hostry. The event is open to any businesses who want to learn about targeting new markets as well as network.

On Thursday 23^rd March the whole school gathered at Mousehold Heath for the annual Cup Run. With fine weather conditions for running there were some impressive times recorded and spectators enjoyed some sunshine and supported their houses with the usual enthusiasm. Norwich School’s annual Jazz Night was again a fantastic evening of music, food and dancing. Pupils, staff and special guests entertained parents and ONs with a variety of live musical numbers to go alongside classic and modern jazz tunes.

Last Wednesday saw Norwich School’s Choral Society perform their annual spring concert. The choir collaborated with the world-renown London Mozart Players for the first time for a special concert at St Andrews Hall.

On Tuesday, the first XI Hockey took on Queens Taunton in the last 8 of the National Schools Cup.

The 1st VII matched last year's result and can be very proud of their journey despite their disappointment.

Alex Ogden (L4N) has continued his stellar skiing season by winning gold and silver medals in the Aiglon College races held in Villars, Switzerland.

Annual event returns to Open giving students the chance to explore career options and plan for the future on the 22nd March.

The Norwich School fencing team travelled to Crystal Palace this week for the British Public Schools National Fencing Championships.

Saturday saw the final race in the East Anglian League and our runners retained four of the six trophies available against runners from Gresham’s, Ipswich and RHS.

On Thursday 9^th March, the Norwich School Under 18 Boys Hockey team progressed to the quarter finals of the England Hockey Board School Cup after beating the Perse School in the sixth round of the competition.

Steam Co. are to host a TED talk event at the Blake Studio on Saturday 18^th March. TEDxNorwichED exists to bring together people who are passionate about education in its broadest sense, so that ideas, projects and principles can be shared, debated and discussed.

The day was spent coding robots with Microsoft, students from UEA and local coding businesses.

The cross-country team performed strongly again in the next round of the East Anglian League.

17 girls travelled down to the Hockey Centre at the Olympic Park Stratford for the competition on Tuesday.
