On Saturday 19th January, Norwich School inaugural Making Musicians New Sounds from Norwich School concert took place.

On Saturday 26th January, the Norwich School team won the Independent Schools Mock Trial Competition at the Crown Court in Birmingham. The competition, run by Young Citizens, is an excellent opportunity for pupils from across the UK to learn about the criminal justice system whilst working on cases written by partners in the legal profession.

Norwich School pupil, Ben Hawes, has qualified to represent Norfolk and Norwich School in the English Schools Table Tennis Individual championship this Spring.

On Saturday 16th January, after weeks of preparation, the school's U14 and U19  squads travelled to Stanborough School in Welwyn Garden City to compete in the Regional Round of the National Schools Netball competition.

Norwich School pupils in L5 had a inspirational day at the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts on Thursday 24th January. Creative workshops were carried out with the gallery artist educators and the Art & Design staff at the Sainsbury Centre.

For pupils in Lower 5 who are studying Classical Civilisation, a study of Sparta forms one of their units. Recently Mr Plater's class experienced making their own Sparta shields, as well as learning about how Spartan's would have used them.

On Tuesday 22nd January twenty-one Norwich School runners took part in the Norfolk Schools Cross Country Championships at Langley High School. Over a flat, fast course our athletes competed against the best cross country runners in Norfolk, with the aim to finish in the top 12 in order to earn a County Vest.

Norwich School pupil Isabelle Mardle is the new South of England indoor U13 champion for long jump and shot put.

On Saturday 19th January, Norwich School, Gresham's, Ipswich School and Royal Hospital School came together for the first East Anglian League cross country fixture of the year. The fixture took place at Mousehold Heath, Norwich, where twenty-six Norwich School runners competed in fine, crisp conditions.

Chaplain to the school, Revd Corin Child, has written a play which is going to be performed at the Ink Festival in Suffolk.

Norwich School pupil, Charlie O'Shea, is currently competing in the European Snowboarding Freeride Junior Tour. Charlie is training with the Les Arcs Freeski Academy and is the only snowboarder in the team. He's embracing this fantastic opportunity and enjoying getting to know his French team mates.
