Having secured a fantastic 3-3 draw against Norwich City Ladies 1st XI earlier in the week, the Girls Hockey 1st XI travelled to Gresham’s with their confidence high.

A comprehensive 6-0 win against Wymondham College was a fantastic start to the tournament and was followed up by a solid 1-0 win against Gresham’s. Their final game vs. Langley ended in a 3-0 win meaning they finished as County Champions for the 5th year in a row. Overall they won three, scored 10 and conceded none.

Coach Rob Sorrell said ‘There were some outstanding individual performances throughout the week and the confidence and attitude within the team is as impressive as the results have been.’

In further hockey club news the U14s won the Area tournament last week and will take part in the County Cup this week as they hope to follow in the footsteps of last year’s U14s who made it all the way to the National Finals.
