Street Child Visit Norwich Lower School

23 January 2019

This term, the Lower School are very excited to be supporting ‘Street Child’; one of the UK’s fasted growing international development charities that was founded in 2008 by a father of boys who are currently in the Lower School.

Anna Lloyd visited Norwich Lower School to talk to Lower 2 to Upper 3 children about their main aim to create educational opportunities for some of the most vulnerable children in Africa and Asia.

Street Child is currently in the midst of an exciting period, as until 21st February every £1 raised by the UK public will be matched pound for pound by the British government through UK Aid Match. Our school target is therefore to raise £1000 during the UK Aid Match appeal as this would give Street Child the £2000 that they need to build or revitalise a school in Sierra Leone.

We presented Street Child with a cheque for £760.88 which was collected at last year's Carol Service in the Cathedral.
