Lower Two visit Great Yarmouth Sea Life Centre

09 March 2020

On Tuesday 3rd March, the Lower Twos all enjoyed a brilliant day out to Great Yarmouth Sea Life Centre to complement their current learning about the oceans and seas in Geography.

They were treated to a VIP discovery tour of the centre where they were given the opportunity to observe the sea creatures up close, to listen to various themed talks about the oceans and to see feeding demonstrations. They particularly enjoyed meeting Noah, a 13 year old endangered green sea turtle, observing the rays and jellyfish in their tanks and learning some interesting facts about sharks from the Sea Life Centre’s sharkologist!

“My favourite part was when we saw one of the penguins swimming – we were very lucky! Did you also know that sharks kill only 6-7 humans a year and this is usually because they mistake them for seals as their prey!” – Ema

“Did you know that some sharks glow in the dark!” – Maxwell
