Lower School Supports The Benjamin Foundation for Fifth Consecutive Year

25 November 2021

This November, the Lower School once again requested gifts to support the Benjamin Foundation Christmas Gift Appeal.

The Benjamin Foundation is a local charity which operates in Norfolk and Suffolk. The charity brings hope, opportunity, stability, and independence by supporting children through the challenges that life may bring them, including homelessness, respite for child carers, bullying and abuse. They now support over 2000 local children, young people and families each year.

This is the fifth consecutive year that the School has been collecting for the Christmas Gift Appeal, and each year the School community amazes us with their generosity and the variety of gifts which they donate.

Lower School Administrator, Amanda Butters, commented: "I love supporting the charity because of the work it does supporting local families and importantly continues to support children up to the age of 25. I feel that some children who need support are often overlooked once they reach the age of 16, and this charity reminds them that they are important, and people do care about them.

I am sure that we will be back to support the Christmas Gift Appeal in 2022, and I think we may need to swap the car for a van to deliver the gifts, as year on year the enormous mountain of presents in our Common Room seems to grow bigger and bigger!"
