Lower School Pupils Visit the Cathedral to 'Follow the Star'!

09 December 2021

With Christmas only a matter of days away and excitement mounting, Lower and Upper One attended the Follow the Star workshop at Norwich Cathedral.

As the children arrived at Norwich Cathedral, they had discussions to help them learn about advent and understand why this time of year is important to Christians.

However, the story really came alive for them when they made their own manger and added the important characters; Jesus, Mary, and Joseph. They also had a chance to meet characters from the Christmas story located around the beautiful Cathedral to help them learn and remember the true meaning of Christmas for Christians.

The whole workshop was a fantastic way to tell the nativity story and the children were captivated.

"I really enjoyed the end of the story when we saw the baby Jesus and we lit the advent candles!" - Orson

"I loved when we saw all the people dressed up around the cathedral!" - Hettie

"I enjoyed when they put the candles out and we could think about the light travelling around the world!" - Kevin

"I loved when we got to dress up as the three wise men and all walk to find the baby Jesus!" - Ali
