Lower School Pupils Support Jeans for Genes Day

17 September 2021

'Jeans for Genes' is the annual fundraising event for the genetic disorder community. 1 in every 25 children has a fault in a gene, stopping their bodies from working properly. Most of these 6000 genetic illnesses can't yet be cured. This is why pupils have helped raise lots of money to look after the thousands of children who are badly affected.

Yesterday pupils from the Lower School wore non-school uniform in support of 'Jeans for Genes' Day. Pupils also took part in a 'Silver Coin Challenge'. Magdalen pupils supplied delicious cakes and biscuits at breaktime which were bought by staff and pupils.

Every penny raised went to the 'Jean for Geners' groups of charities, to help children needing support.
