Lower One were visited by Vet Mary de Las Casas last week to tell them all about her work as a vet with Chapelfield Veterinary Practice.  Vet Mary talked to the children about all the foods that are safe for our pets to eat, and they looked at x-rays of lots of different animals.  Vet Mary also brought her dog Flo and the class got to listen to her heartbeat using stethoscopes!   

The children learnt about all the different things vets do to help sick animals and tried on lots of different clothing.  Vet Mary has worked in Africa and New Zealand looking after a variety of large and small animals and now specialises in looking after small animals.
