Form One Study the Human Digestive System

23 January 2018

Form One have been exploring the human digestive system and looking at how each different organ is involved in the digestive process.

Everyone designed a vest showing the digestive system, which they then wore to demonstrate where each organ is situated on their body.

The class undertook a homework project to make a 3D  model of the digestive system. The finished projects were fantastic, using a wide variety of different materials, and some were even working models. The Science Room was transformed into a gallery and all of Form 1 were invited in to view everyone's model.

Form One have enjoyed learning about the digestive system and now have a good understanding through these various activities. They also enjoyed learning some gruesome facts, such as that the small intestine is nearly 7 metres long!
