8th Norwich Sea Scout Cubs Supports All-Inclusive School in Ghana

05 February 2021

8th Norwich Sea Scouts (Norwich School) Cub Scouts have this week sent £1000.00 to an inclusive charity in Ghana.

The Kekeli Foundation Ghana supports children of all abilities. The child the Cubs learned about is an 8-year old called Atsu Wonder. He has Cerebral Palsy and until recently weighed only half of a child of that age.

The 8th Norwich Cubs, under the inspirational guidance of Cub Leaders, Annelise Savill, and Tim Brook, decided to walk, run, or bike 3km during the second lockdown.   The Cubs got carried away and some went well beyond the 3km guide to accomplish much more, and, in doing so raised £1000 for The Kekeli Foundation School, Ghana. We are told the extra resources enabled by the Cubs most certainly saved Atsu’s life.

The Cubs have since received recognition from Tim Kidd, UK Chief Commissioner, for The Scouts.

This weekend, the Cubs are hoping to share a zoom call with The Kekeli Foundation.
