Former Norwich School Pupil Launches Fundraising Campaign After Fiji Cyclone

27 April 2020

The story of a former Norwich School pupil who was stranded in Fiji due to the Coronavirus outbreak, has begun a fundraising campaign after the country was hit by a cyclone.

Emily Rash, who left the school in 2019, was on a two-month volunteering placement in the country when it entered into a lockdown following the outbreak of Coronavirus. Emily was unable to travel home initially, leaving her stranded. Her eventual return from the UK saw her catch a flight just hours before a devastating cyclone hit the country.

Emily is now fundraising to raise awareness of the devastation in the country by running a half marathon with eleven others. Her story has featured in the Norwich Evening News.
