Norwich School represented the Young Norfolk Sports Academy (YNSA) at the Norfolk Sports Awards 2017. Our Deputy Head (Co-Curriculum) Dr Richard Clark presented the 'Active School of the Year' award to Rollesby Primary School and Nursery, which was sponsored by YNSA.

Yesterday over 500 school children from 20 schools across Norfolk and Suffolk and Cambridgeshire gathered at the Open in Norwich for the second Michaelmas Mathematics Symposium. The event, organised by Norwich School, aimed to inspire, educate and broaden the horizons of GCSE and A Level mathematicians in Norfolk.

Perry Cooke (M5C) triumphed in the National Junior Rod Championships over the weekend.

Before half-term the school’s Under 16 sailing team won the Eric Twiname/ RYA Team Racing Championships for the first time in the school’s history. The team won 19 of their 20 races over the weekend.

Atilya Bussey (L5V) was part of the South Norfolk Pony Club showjumping team who competed at Burghley over the summer. The team had an incredible 2nd-place success, just missing out on the win through a pole in the jump-off.

An unprecedented collection of wildlife art called Sketch for Survival will go on view for the very first time at the school’s Crypt Gallery on World Rhino Day, from 10am on Friday 22 September, until 4pm on Saturday 23 September. The exhibition is free and open to members of the public.

School Chaplain Reverend Child is contributing to the ‘Opinion’ section of the EDP throughout the year, along with other members of the local clergy, with a ‘Thought for the Day’. His pieces will come from the perspective of a chaplain, as his first contribution demonstrates well, describing a Norwich School scene from our first day back after the summer holidays.
