Norwich school pupil Steven Denby has navigated his way to win gold at the British Schools Orienteering Championships in Blackburn and has been crowned national schools' orienteering champion.

'It was a case of so near and yet so far for Norwich School in round four of the RFU's National Schools Cup competition. Norwich were 7-28 down at one stage but fought back superbly after the break to lead 29-28. It looked like they were going through but on the stroke of full-time a penalty was conceded under huge pressure and the visitors converted it with the final play of the game to win 31-29.'

On Monday 19th November, EDP School Report published photographs from the Norwich School musical Chicago, a presentation of the Norfolk Young Chamber Award and a Dragons Den style day where Norwich School Sixth Form pupils worked with Mile Cross Primary School pupils to create a pitch 'dragons den style'.

A network of tunnels buried beneath a city school's playground could be unearthed and opened up for access. Built in September 1939, the tunnels served as an air raid shelter for pupils of Norwich School during the Second World war.

'A ground-breaking collaboration between Norwich School and Mile Cross Primary School has seen Dragon's Den come to Norwich. 

Year 5 pupils from the Norwich primary school worked closely in teams with Norwich School Business Enterprise A level students, to create and develop new products and services in readiness to ask for 'investment' from the dragon line-up. The Norwich School sixth formers acted as business mentors initially at City College's 'Business Start-Up Suite', as they guided the teams through product design, marketing and finance.'

As part of the school's wider Remembrance Day commemorations to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War, Norwich School has taken part in the nationwide campaign ‘There But Not There’ with silhouettes representing Norwich School Old Norvicensians who died in the war.

'An astrophysicist and engineer Professor George has appeared on TV, presenting 'Hyper Evolution: 'Rise of the Robots' on BBC Four. The event at Norwich School Blake Studio, co-hosted by evolutionary biologist Dr Ben Garrod, will explore whether robots will enhance or threaten our lives.'
