ON Martin Kirby Produces Multi-Award Winning Premium Olive Oil

06 December 2018

In 2001, ON Martin Kirby (70-77) left his home and job in Norfolk and moved to a Catalan mountain farm called Mother’s Garden in search of a different way of living. His family’s new home came with 10 acres of olive groves, and they now produce their own premium extra virgin olive oil. The business has become so successful that their olive oil is stocked in shops across Britain and has won the gold star standard in the Great Taste awards in 2008, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2016 and 2018.

Martin has written two books about his experiences and Channel Four have made two documentaries about Mother’s Garden. The family are trying to raise awareness of how olive juice freshness is just as vital as full provenance and quality, and they aim to provide the best olive oil to people at a reasonable price.

The annual harvest at Mother’s Garden happened in November, and they are now taking orders for December deliveries for their freshly pressed olive oil. 3 litre tins are available for £27, or a case of six 500ml bottles can be bought for £43.50. There is no delivery charge for orders dropped off at Norwich School! For more information, or to order your olive oil, visit their website.
