13 November 2019

ON James Wild (86-95) has been chosen as the Tory Party candidate bidding to succeed Sir Henry Bellingham in North West Norfolk.

James grew up in North Walsham but has been working in London for many years. He has held several different roles within the government, such as Chief of Staff to the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster and Senior Special Advisor to the Prime Minister. James is married to Baroness Natalie Evans, who is the leader of the House of Lords and life peer.

Speaking to the EDP, James said: "I am a Norfolk boy through and through so the chance to stand again in a Norfolk seat is fantastic. I have been out campaigning before I was selected in Norwich South and North Norfolk and the appetite to get Brexit done is clear. There is a deal on the table so we can have this all done by the end of January.”
