ON Ben Millett (09-20) has secured a Quest International Scholarship, matching him with an international organisation and giving him a package of support and industry access. 

Ben is currently studying Civil Engineering at Bath University and was previously the recipient of the Sebastian John award while at Norwich School. The Scholarship will provide him with: a sum of money for 4 years of study, 8 weeks paid work experience per summer, a placement for his year in industry and the potential of a position at the end of his Masters.

In early 2020 Ben made it through the first round of shortlisting and was then sent a list of companies taking Quest Scholars this year, together with information about them, and asked to identify up to 5 he might be interested in working with. He was advised that he had secured 3 interviews from his preference list.

After the interviews, he was asked to put in writing which order he ranked the companies in. The Institute of Civil Engineers then worked with the host companies and went through a matching and ratification process.

In late October, he was advised that he had been matched with his first choice organisation Ferrovial - a Spanish company with approximately 90,000 employees in Spain, UK, America, Canada, and Poland.
