Beyond the Classroom

Life outside the classroom forms an important aspect of the Sixth Form experience. Pupils are encouraged to participate in sport, music, dance, drama and many other activities, enabling them to learn and practise new skills at a level that matches their abilities.

This might mean simply participating and making a regular commitment, or competing at the elite level in County, Regional or even National events.

Sport in the Sixth Form

The school offers a huge range of sports and activities, from the major team games - rugby, hockey and cricket for boys and netball, hockey and rounders for girls - to football, rowing, cross-country, orienteering, climbing, swimming, racquet sports and athletics.

We also have a well-equipped sports hall and a gym designed for strength and conditioning.

Whether they’re participating in the regular weekend matches against local schools, or simply working on their personal fitness, we encourage all pupils to perform to their best ability.

Extra-curricular Opportunities

We offer Sixth Form pupils the chance to participate in the Young Enterprise Scheme and the Duke of Edinburgh Award.  There are literally dozens of extra-curricular clubs and societies, catering for every interest.
