1st XV
The usual nerves were evident from both sides early on in the game. Norwich however had the better of the first half, controlling the majority of the territory, although we were unable to convert our chances. The half time score was 0-0. After a long break in play due to an injury, Norwich began the second half as they ended the first. A well-judged kick through th defensive line enabled TJ to run onto it, budging forward past the last line of defence, touching down for our first try. Norwich followed this with another try off the back of the scrum with some intelligent play from Ben Place and Lewis Hall, putting Harry Adams away for his first try for the 1st XV. Wtmondham never gave up and a few poor decisions were costly for Norwich as Wymondham gained a two-point lead with only minutes to play. Final score: 12-10 to Wymondham.
Iron man - Seth Rodger
Player of the day - Will Chisholm
2nd XV
Lost 3-13.
The early exchanges were fairly even with the 2nd XV winning good ball from scrum and line-out though we struggled to penetrate the Wymondham defence. With the score at 3-3 at half time, it wsa anyone's game, but Wymondham's friswt try gave them belief and though we battled hard to the end, we were second best.
Player of the day - Arthur Chapman
