Out of school achievements
Three Norwich School pupils were invited to perform at a Young Musicians' Concert in Northrepps, near Cromer
Danny Bate (M5V), Oskar Schmidt-Hansen (M5P), Ben Crane (M5R) and Toby Bennett (L5S) are all appearing in the Maddermarket's production of this Christmas classic.
Congratulations to Alice who will be performing in this year's show, Sleeping Beauty.
Elizabeth Jones, U5C, has been selected to represent Saxon Tigers at the Futures Cup Tournament during October half term. She currently plays National League hockey for Harleston Magpies Ladies 1st XI

Jack Watson (U5/C) took part in a cadet foil international competition at Manchester this weekend and reached the quarter finals at under 17 level. His success improves his European ranking to 23rd despite only competing in 1 event last year. We look forward to watching his rise through the rankings.
Sixth Former plays at music festival
Well done to Rebecca Heeles and her call up for the England U18 Schoolgirls' squad.
Jonathan Tomes won his long jump and came second in discus. He also came second in javelin to the U13 National Champion, with a throw of 33m and 76cms. Naomi Tomes wons the girls' shot.
Well done to Hannah Talbot who qualified for the Pony Club dressage competition, and came fourth nationally.
Daniel Catchpole (Banquo) and Ralph Moore (Malcolm) will be performing in the forthcoming production of Macbeth. The boys, who are members of the local theatre group, Theatre 101, have been studying and working towards the production for the past year. Performances will take place on Thursday 16th, Friday 17th and Saturday 18th September at the Norwich Puppet Theatre.
Daniel Catchpole (Banquo) and Ralph Moore (Malcolm) star in the forthcoming production of Macbeth at the Norwich Puppet Theatre from 16th to 18th September 2010 at 7pm.
Congratulations to Adam Crafer who was the winner of the 100 and 200 breaststroke (13-year-old) events and thus qualified for the nationals. Adam also represented his club (UEA City of Norwich) in the 4 x 100 Medley Relay which won a gold medal.
Congratulations to George Elliott-Hunter who has become the Norfolk U16 Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Champion.
Rebecca Heeles came 4th in the recent National Schools Championships with a 5 over par total of 153 for her 2 rounds at John O'Gaunt Golf Club in Bedfordshire.
Following her success in the South East Region Schools Championships during half-term, Rebecca Heeles qualified to represent the South East Schoools team/Norwich School at the National Schools Championships to be held in Bedfordshire on 20th June.
Congratulations to Jack Long Martinez, playing a year above his age group in the U14 Norfolk County Tennis team.
On a swelteringly sunny weekend at the end of the holiday (17th and 18th April) Oliver Rickett U6E and Jack McPherson U6V successfully completed the double marathon they had set themselves to row to raise awareness of the still, much needed aid in Haiti - and to raise money for the Haiti Hospital Appeal.
Congratulations to Benjy Wilcock M5C who has been successful in gaining a place on the RSPB Wingbeat Forum. Benjy will represent the teenage readers of the magazine.

Danny Bate has graduated from the Maddermarket Youth Theatre Group to join the main players in the stage version of On Golden Pond by Ernest Thompson. This is his first major speaking part . The play opens on Thursday 23rd January and runs for ten performances until Saturday 30th.
Norwich School's U14 girls' hockey team won the Norfolk national schools' play-offs at Dereham.
Congratulations to our runners in the 25th City of Norwich half marathon which took place on Sunday 29th November.
Callum goes through to the national finals at the Portsmouth Guildhall on 28th November.

Congratulations to Hannah Talbot L6E who has recently won the Riding Clubs' Eventer Trial winning the 3' 3" open class. Hannah now qualifies for the National Finals in 2010.

Congratulations to George Moore U4P, who has had his most recent film selected from thousands to be screened at the National Museum of Media in Bradford, as part of the Co-operative Young Film Makers Festival.

Congratulations to Nick Pond L6R, who has passed his hockey level 1 umpire examination and assessment and is now registered on the England Hockey Register of Level 1 Umpires. Nick has also been selected to play for the U17 Bury tigers Junior Regional Performance Centre at the JPRC Cluster Competitions.
Congratulations to Jazmine Butcher U4R, who over the summer came 2nd in the British Skiing Indoor Championships and 3rd in one of the British Skiing Indoor Grande Prix races.
