Tom Klinge - GB selection
The chief Great Britain junior rowing coach visited the School to put Tom through his paces on a training outing, after which Tom has been selected to attend a training camp for rowers who are hoping to challenge for a place in the GB junior rowing squad next summer. Congratulations to Tom and to the rowing club coaches without whose hard work, this achievement would not have been possible. Tom Dell (U5/P) and Isaac Jermy (U5/N) are a year behind Tom in the selection process, but both have a real chance of being selected next year.
Tom has achieved an ergo score faster than the 6.55 qualification mark. This means he is eligible to take part in the first long distance trial at Boston. We are trying now to get the score even faster so that he is well up the 'leader board' when compared to the other candidates.
