Jonathan Tomes (L5N) attended the Anglian Schools Championships in Peterborough last Saturday. Despite the very windy conditions, Jonathan threw 46m86 which comfortably surpassed the qualifying standard of 43m. Jonathan has now achieved the national standard (46m) and has been selected to go to the English Schools Championships at Gateshead International Stadium on 5th/6th/7th July.
His recent throw has moved him into 6th place in the UK rankings – congratulations.
