Queen's Diamond Jubilee

On Tuesday 5th June, Norwich School’s Head of School, Eleanor Tivey, had the privilege of attending the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Lunch at the Palace of Westminster in the presence of Her Majesty the Queen and other members the Royal Family. She was invited by the Worshipful Company of Dyers, who have long been generous supporters of the School; she joined the Dyers’ Prime Warden and other guests for a tour of the Dyers’ Hall, before being driven through the police-lined streets of London to the Palace, where the party awaited the arrival of the Royal Family. This was followed by fanfares, speeches, toasts, and a lavish three course luncheon.
Eleanor said, “It was a once in a lifetime occasion and one which I will never forget. I am very grateful to the Dyers for giving me this special opportunity.”
